The Human Resources Recruiting Manager is responsible for the administration of staffing requirements for all Hotel positions.
Supports the Director of Human Resources with other aspects and functions of the department in accordance with Hotel Standards.
Job Description:
Qualifications: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE High school graduate or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
Solid Hotel/Restaurant recruitment experience.
Expert knowledge with Internet search tools/techniques and state-of-the-art search and recruiting methodology.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding personnel and company information.
Knowledge and good understanding of human resources and lawful employment practices.
Strong time management skills, capable of organizing, planning, prioritizing and effectively using time in a multi-tasking environment.
Ability to work collaboratively as well as achieve goals independently.
Ability to generate high volume of top quality candidates.
Ability to navigate databases and perform internet mining.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Versatile, organized, courteous, motivated with a "can-do" attitude and professional demeanor.
Demonstrate strong computer skills: data entry, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Essential Functions:
Build applicant sources by researching and contacting professional networks, employment agencies, recruiters, media and internet sites, providing company information, opportunities and benefits.
Making presentations.
Establish and maintain external relationships to develop a pipeline for hard-to-fill positions.
Determine applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
Attract applicants by placing job advertisements, contacting agencies, colleges, universities and job sites.
Attends Job Fairs and Career Fairs.
Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, comparing qualifications to job requirements.
Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates.
Conduct all pre-screening of line and management position applicants (internal and external).
Own a candidate oriented hiring process to ensure we deliver timely feedback to candidates and maintain ongoing dialogue throughout the hiring process.
Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
Update Open Position Log (OPL) as needed.
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Interprets policies for employees and managers as needed.
Maintains discretion and confidentiality of all employee and property issues.
Assists with any process administration and the collection of data for relevant reports.
Assists with the maintenance and tracking of Workday, HRIS and applicant tracking system.
Provides assistance to applicants and all employees visiting Human Resources office.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
