BASIC FUNCTION: The Human Resources Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting a variety of responsibilities within the department including, but not limited to, recruiting, benefits, training and record keeping.
Job Description:
Qualifications: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum of one-year Human Resource experience or confidential administrative work required.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic Computer skills required - MS Office Workday Software experience is a plus.
Pleasant phone demeanor.
Strong employee relations' skills.
Essential Functions:
Provide clerical and administrative support to the Director of Human Resources.
Assist with the day to day operations of the HR functions and duties.
Coordinate HR projects (meetings, trainings, surveys, etc.
) Maintain employee files and the HR filing system.
Coordinate the recruitment processes (job posting, application screening, scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, etc.
).
Communicate with applicants and provide them with information regarding the employment process.
Oversee the new hire on-boarding process (Workday enrollment, new hire paperwork, etc.
).
Process VOE's per company policy.
Distribute employee anniversary and birthday cards monthly.
Coordinate birthday celebration activities monthly.
Conduct uniform inventory monthly.
Maintain employee recognition boards.
Maintain an employee-oriented Human Resources department that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Practice safety standards and report any unsafe conditions to the Director of Human Resources.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
