Director of Marketing

BASIC FUNCTIONS: Execute marketing activities for the property as directed by the Director(s) of Sales and Marketing (DOSM), Area Director of Marketing (ADOM). Work with DOSM and ADOM as well as strategic partners to create and execute globalmarketing/advertisingstrategies, make updates to the property's website, coordinate creation of sales and on-property collateral, create and execute robust social media strategy, and coordinate initiatives for on-property and local programming. Create and execute local emarketing campaigns. Job Description: QUALIFICATIONS:  EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE 5+ years' experience in public relations, marketing or advertising Bachelor Degree or Equivalent (Communication/Marketing/Advertising preferred) Graphic Design experience required (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc) Outgoing and self-motivated individual with pleasant personality Excellent computer skills, including desktop publishing Excellent written and oral communication skills ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Drives the strategic focus on creation and distribution of exceptional email campaigns Determines optimal process for guest data capture ensuring that PMS, dining and waterpark data is integrated into CRM database Drives the online advertising strategy utilizing strategic partners to achieve growth in website traffic, bookings and conversion Drives digital channel direction through data analysis to deliver ROI  Drives the creation of on-property promotions and programming while working with applicable departments to implement Manages department expenditures and budgeted/forecasted expenses Drives social media strategy to generate online following, including: identifying power bloggers, creation and maintenance of a blog editorial calendar, and growth of all Facebook, Instagram and future social media accounts Drives all on-property press visits with support from Regional Director of Public Relations & DOSM Delivers and maintains exceptional content on hotel's website and app by utilizing the content management system Drives the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of content for all content management systems (CMS): website, mobile app, in-room TV, public space display monitors, digital signage and related content. Manages the relationship with Regional Director of Public Relations to coordinate PR related to special events Drives the development and execution of marketing goals Develop and execute marketing plan with DOSM and ADOM Oversee the hotel's advertising, public relations, social media, and promotional activities with DOSM Delivers satisfactory P&L expense ratio in all campaigns Drives regular marketing activity and performance reports as well as any ad hoc needs Manages PowerPoint presentations for owners and corporate meetings Develops strong relationships with media, potential promotional partners, and current partners Determines trends that the hotel can capitalize on Manages all field inquiry phone calls to solicit sales business for all types of corporate photo shoot clients Manages negotiating, producing and enforcing contractual agreements pertaining to photo shoots Manages the compilation of all cancellation/attrition charges of the photo shoot events Drives promotional efforts by maximizing promotional partnerships Drives outreach to companies identified as potential partners, as well as media outlets BASIC SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Strong ability to read and interpret documents such as scientific, and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents Ability to write reports, business correspondence and produce manuals Knowledge of sales and accounting practices Ability to present information to top management, public groups and directors Strong ability to apply to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret spread sheets Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Ability to meet company Quality Service Performance Standards MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: Perform other related duties as requested by the DOSM & GM. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
